Creative Director - Art and UX/UI Lead
Providence – My responsibilities included developing concepts and designs for emails, print and digital invitations, programs, brochures, ooh, and dm campaigns.
The Festival Companies – I was responsible for the UX and design of emails, microsites, emails and digital brochures. I also designed and produced brochures, investor books and pitch books.

2020 - 2022
RAPP — Los Angeles, CA
Sr. Art Director and UX/UI Lead
Lexus – I developed concepts and designed targeted CRM email campaigns, direct mail, and social media posts for the luxury car brand. I assisted with asset management for the massive image library.
Toyota – As with Lexus, I developed concepts and designed targeted CRM email campaigns, direct mail, and social media posts for the luxury car brand. I assisted in managing Toyota’s large asset library.
Lexus Financial Services, Mazda Financial Services, Toyota Financial Services – I was responsible for the UX and design of numerous seasonal landing pages along with the concept and art direction for dozens of seasonal small space ads.

2019 - 2020
UCLA — Los Angeles, CA
Sr. Art Director and UX/UI Lead
I co-lead the team that redesigned the UCLA admissions site from the ground up. My team was responsible for the concept, UX/UI and design of admission.ucla.edu and ucla.edu. The system I designed is the blueprint for the entire University of California system.

2018 - 2019
Kern + Freelance — Los Angeles, CA
Sr. Art Director and UX/UI Designer
AT&T/DirecTV – I streamlined the process of designing emails by creating component libraries and standardized formats that reduced the number of revisions by 90%. I was responsible for the UX for many DM landing pages. I created numerous pitch and presentation decks.
Canon – I was responsible for designing social media-style posts for LinkedIn. I designed banner campaigns. I designed and produced DM postcards and brochures. I created multiple graphics for Canon’s CES trade show booth.
clickmycloset.com – I created social media posts and helped design the YouTube channel that had clickable links within the videos.
Erika Jayne – I redesigned all her social media icons.
Redbird – I designed some fun interactive cocktail menus. I also designed and produced event signage and special even marketing collateral.

2014 - 2018
Los Angeles Times — Los Angeles, CA
Sr. Art Director and Product Designer
I was responsible for the product design and marketing for latimes.com and the LA Times app. This ranged from developing concepts and execution of print, out of home and digital campaigns. I was the lead art director for the LA Times Festival of Books, The Taste/FoodBowl, and The Jonathan Gold 101 launch party (now called the 101 List). My responsibilities included designing websites, creating advertising (broadcast, digital, out-of-home, print, emails, street team, and signage. I directed every photo shoot. I developed and executed the multimedia campaign, with Wondery, for “Dirty John.” This endeavor helped make Dirty John a global #1 podcast on Apple launching the true crime podcast phenomena.
2011 – 2013
Green Dot Corporation — Pasadena, CA

I re-branded the company, unifying all the different divisions under one corporate umbrella. My team launched the company’s online banking accounts, GoBank and GO2bank. My responsibilities ranged from creating corporate id, retail displays, brochures, packaging, card design, websites, apps, to the
UX/UI and packaging design for an Amazon partnership.

2009 – 2011
Hill Holliday — New York, NY
Associate Creative Director
Verizon – I managed an amazing staff of art directors and writers where we evolved the look and flow of Verizon retail stores that I originally created at McCann. I conceived and managed every retail initiative during my tenure. I managed an offsite team of 30 production artists in Greenville, South Carolina. This included monthly trips to streamline workflow, mentor, coach, and develop the staff. I’ve directed large multi-day photo shoots and the subsequent retouching for, both, lifestyle and product with amazing photographers.
Hanes (Wonderbra) – I helped re-brand and re-introduce the Wonderbra line of undergarments to the U.S. market.

2007 – 2009
McCann Worldgroup — New York, NY

Verizon – I worked on the team that rebranded the company with the “Can You Hear Me Now” campaign. I led my team to create an award-winning a retail user experience by reimagining the consumer journey starting from store traffic flow down to redesigning every fixture and graphic element within every Verizon retail location maximizing retail customer satisfaction. I directed numerous massive multi-day photo shoots of talent, products and in-store videos.
AdColor – I worked on all the advertising for the first AdColor awards, recognizing advertising professionals from diverse backgrounds and their contributions to the advertising industry.
Applebee’s – I concepted and designed holiday gift card promotions consisting of newspaper inserts, gift cards, retail signage, menus, and broadcast end-cards.
Women’s Professional Soccer – My team facilitated the launch of the brand-new league. Many of the players participated in the 2007 Women’s World Cup. This launch included digital, print, and broadcast advertising.
Major League Baseball – I worked on the 2008 MLB playoff campaign. This required analyzing hundreds of hours of historical playoff footage to create a nostalgic montage that we cut together with modern footage.

2005 – 2007

Capital One – I created Capital One’s award-winning social responsibility campaign.
Sunlife Financial – I created Sunlife Financial’s award-winning diversity campaign.
U.S. Department of State – I produced massive amounts of collateral and digital campaigns for the government agency.
Merril Lynch – I produced tons of collateral for the financial giant.

2001 – 2005
Doner — Newport Beach, CA
Senior Art Director
Mazda – I worked on the, legendary, zoom-zoom campaign. During my tenure at Doner,
I helped launch seven brand-new vehicles – Mazda3, Mazda6, Mazda RX8, Mazda5, Mazda CX7, Mazda MX5 Miata, and the Mazda Tribute. I art directed everything from brochures, print ads, ooh, event promotion to retail dealership design and signage. I art directed the concept and design for every digital campaign from 2001 to 2006. I designed the award-winning interactive Times Square takeover and first-of-a-kind mobile-interface game.
PacifiCare – I designed on direct mail campaigns for PacifiCare’s Women Health Solutions.
Public Storage – I helped introduce Public Storage the New York market. The work ranged from website redesign, digital and ooh campaigns.
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) – I concepted and designed digital and print ads along with graphics for shirts.
OC Marathon – I art directed the event’s website and tv spot.
